Board of Directors

Our Board of Directors works collaboratively with our administration to ensure success and commitment to our mission.

As a nonprofit, the Board guarantees stability in operations and provides continuity of vision and purpose for our school. The Board is a permanent governing body that sets policy, established priorities, and direction.

The Board also includes vital Montessori advisors, including our Executive Director. The full board meets quarterly at a minimum and more often as necessary; all families and staff are welcome to attend the open portions.

The Vision: Blue Ridge Montessori School strives to become an exemplary Montessori school community of educators and families collaborating in the shared goal of optimal development of each child from infancy through adolescence.

The Mission: Blue Ridge Montessori School is committed to providing an authentic, high-quality Montessori education in which every child is supported in developing a love of life and learning within a safe, peaceful, and responsive community. 

BRMS is a 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization allowing for donations to the school to be tax-deductible to the full extent permissible by law.
